Are you ready to buy the house of your dreams? Being prepared for homeownership and making the right purchase decision is essential for you and your family's future. 

Pre-purchase counseling is a two-step process that includes our online Homebuyer Education Course and a follow-up virtual counseling session. 

As part of your counseling session, your counselor will explain the full costs of homeownership and help you create a budget that balances your new obligations. Your counselor will also highlight available down payment and closing cost assistance resources that may be useful in meeting your financial needs. 

The homebuyer counseling session requires a credit inquiry, a "soft" pull of your credit, and will not affect your credit score or show on any third-party credit report requests. 

During your session, your counselor will: 

• Gather income, expense, and debt information to create a budget. 
• With your authorization, pull your credit report and review your credit history and scores. 
• Develop a client action plan to help you become mortgage ready.

Course Fee: No Charge   

At the completion of your counseling, you'll receive a Certificate of Completion, which may qualify you for down payment assistance. Click here to complete a brief service request form, and a counseling application will be forwarded to you electronically.
